"Tinicum Township Fire Police Officers, who are part of the fire

company, are appointed by the Supervisors and have statewide

authority to control crowds, control traffic and provide security

when and where needed. However, the fundamental duty of these

trained officers, certified by the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy,

is to protect firefighters in their effort to save life and property."
